Quality over Quantity
So last year I thought that writing online, on a daily basis, would be a way to make this blog a better thing. But it’s just another way to fail. And fail publicly.
Well working with my therapist, I’ve learned to try and correct my valuation of outcome versus progress.
When you value outcome only, then you’re only able to evaluate things against the final outcome or results. For example, if you want to lose 100 pounds (not an easy task), and you start to gain weight instead of lose weight for two weeks in a row, you may suddenly give up because you decide that you’re no longer going toward your outcome.
But if your able to step back and look at progress and see that before those two weeks you lost weight, and know that you can lose weight again if you accept what has happened. Then you’re ready to begin living a progress mindset.
That’s the power of Quality over Quantity. And thus I’m retiring the “Daily” category here on the blog and will be planning more quality posts on the two subjects of this duality blog. Film and Programming.
